Arrangements have been made by the state government to provide assistance to voluntary organizations for running shelter homes cum training centers for mentally retarded and mentally ill destitute disabled people.

Voluntary organizations of the state registered under the Persons with Disabilities (General Opportunity, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 and Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act-2016, who are suffering from mental retardation.   Experience in the field and having eligibility for the said scheme, website of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Uttar Pradesh.  From http: //uphwd.gov.in, you can get the guidelines related to the scheme in question and the format of the application form.  Interested voluntary organizations, under the scheme of assistance for operation of shelter home-cum-training center for mentally retarded and mentally ill destitute disabled, grant proposal for the financial year 2020-21, up to -30.06.2021, in the office of District Disabled Persons Empowerment Officer of the concerned district.
